We were asked to create our own website and I have used Yola to create mine. This is the front page of my website.

Myself
Every student was required to write our own backgrounds or anything about us on an A3 illustration board. I have a great and happy family. All of them are very understanding, humour and the most important thing, they love me real much.

Memory Drawing
We were asked to draw a map or directions to show the roads taken from a place to our homes. We were given 15 minutes to think and draw. When we drew it , we were not allowed to use ruler or eraser. It was really challenging for me as I never drawn a map from a place to my home in such a short period before. I enjoyed much when I draw it, not expert in drawing though.

Natural Structure :

This is the tree in front of Dewan Utama Pelajar.

Man - Made Structure :

I have zoomed out the part of the parasite and transfered it into a wall lamp.

Water Colour :

We were only allowed to use either man - made structure or natural structure to sketch and water colour to paint it. I have chosen natural structure.

Logo Design :

Everyone of us were asked to design a logo to identify ourselves. After our lecturer approved, we would have to fabricate it to a stamp pad and use it for all studio assignment along the life in School of Housing, Building and Planning.

The Mask :

Rapid Sketches
The sketches were all about the Sarong. One of our lecturers wore the Sarong and showed us 20 ways of wearing Sarong. The time of sketches will be decreased from one to another. We were given 3 minutes for first sketch and 3 seconds for the last sketch. I remembered that the last sketch was the one with the sarong hold in hand . I only drew a hand as I ran out of time when Cik Wan said the time was up. I am not know whether they understand what I drew.

The Sarong :

Perspective drawing
After the lecture about the perspective of drawing , we were then given 15 minutes to sketch anything about the perspective.
After the first sketching , we went out the lecture hall (E48B) and get the outdoor perspective sketched. I sketched a staircase outside the studio.

I have learnt many things such as the horizontal line, vanishing point and others.

An Urban Plan

One Malaysia Community Construction

The first year students were given six places (Penang 1, Penang 2, Perak, Negeri Sembilan, Pahang and Kelantan) to choose to complete Project 8. I chose Kelantan. Unfortunately, Kelantan was one of the places infected with H1N1. Therefore, the people who chose Kelantan were allocated to a few different groups.

I was placed in a group which was going to Merapoh, Pahang. There were three lecturers and thirty students going to that place. The studio master for the study trip was Dr Illias Said and the assistants were Dr Azizan Marzuki and Dr Shardy. Before departing, I wondered how the place would look like because in my thought, it was some sort like our Pimpin Siswa camp. After we reached there, only I realized that there was a much better one than what appeared in my mind.

The place we stayed was 20 km from our site. We would have to wake up earlier in order to reach the site on time. Our resort was at Taman Negara. It is undeniable a wonderful place. The view there was amazing and the air was refreshing.

We need to “Menyiapkan Bangunan” there. There is an Al-Quran school with a CPNS/mosque and three classes for the children there. In front of the school there is a railway for train from Kelantan to Kuala Lumpur.

Our activities are helping the residents to decorate the school and make it more beautiful and comfortable. First, we painted a layer of coating for each room. That was the first time I painting a room. It was really a new experience to me. I totally did not know how to paint, Dr Shardy and Dr Azizan taught us how to paint to assure the paint they bought was enough for the school. After we learnt the ways to paint a room, we got started with our activities.

We have to paint the both the interior and exterior walls. After a layer of coating for the interior wall, we have to paint one more layer in green. Before the lecturer taught us the correct way of painting, my friend and I used the wrong tool to paint the wood door. My friend, King Hui slipped down and half of the pail of paint poured out. Hence, we quickly used the brush and the painting plate to assure we have enough paint for the wall. We completed our activities at 5 p.m.

How do I feel from this assignment?

Undeniable, it is enjoyable and I feel grateful to be there with the friends. All the lecturers treated us very well. I have learnt how to paint, this is really challenging because I did not know the way of painting. Besides, the lecturers provided delicious food to us as well. We were having a lot of delicious food there and we have a dinner to celebrate Hari Raya too.

How do I express my feelings in ten words?

Luxuries, enjoyable, happy, great, experienced, challenging, and learn many from there.
